D&M 11-Inch 3.6-Quart Multi-Ply Clad Stainless Steel Tagine Pot with Lids

I got my tagine yesterday and made a truly delicious dish with cauliflower, chickpeas, onions, garlic, coriander, harissa paste, and preserved lemons. The tagine worked flawlessly and was easy to use and easy to clean. I foresee making many tasty, healthy Moroccan dishes with it.

I preface my review with the fact that tagine cooking is new to me. I discovered tagines about a year ago and was gifted a clay version of a tagine pot that I used a few times. I struggled with my clay version as it was too small for my needs. This is where the DM Tagine Pot came in, and I am impressed. First of all, this pot is fantastic especially for the price. All the pieces are premium quality stainless steel that gives my name brand cookware a run for its money. This pot conducts heat exceptionally well as the accompanying literature communicates and as I personally experienced. On the stovetop I needed to use a lower flame to avoid burning my food, especially while sauteing. In the oven, however, I was able to cook my stew exactly as directed. I noticed that there does not seem to be a lot of steam collecting in the lid like my clay pot does. I was concerned that too much steam might be escaping from the lid, but I don't think that's the case as my stew was still very moist. My husband thinks that because the inside of the lid is nonstick the moisture slides back into the stew more quickly than with a traditional tagine. Regardless, my tagine stew using this pot came out the best I've ever made. A few other comments about this tagine pot: I love the red color - very attractive. The flat handles on the two lids makes it easy to set the lids on the counter without losing the all-important moisture. This tagine pot is too tall to fit in my oven unless I removed the top measuring cup, but it didn't handicap the cooking process. This pot is large enough to make any of my favorite recipes without having to pair them down. I believe there might even be room to double recipes. All-in-all, I love this tagine pot and I highly recommend it for authentic Moroccan tagines.

Well there are lots of pros with this Moroccan clay pot and not really any cons that I can think of. The pros include the following: The pot is well designed and seems to be manufactured to last for the long haul... It has a true Moroccan design... The stainless steel with an aluminum core assures heat distribution... There have been no problems using it on my stove top... Everyone who sees the pot thinks that it looks really cool and that it cooks well... and it's dishwasher safe and it cleans up easily. IMHO this awesome Moroccan clay pot is more than a great value, and it comes highly recommended from me!!!

This tagine is great! It’s high quality, well made, and cooks so evenly. So happy to add it to our cookware collection. It was well seasoned on first use. Has made evenly cooked dishes, cleaned up well and looks great. Perfect size and quality.

Cookware is made very well. The pan is stainless steel and has some weight to it. It has two handles and can be placed in the oven or broiler. The conical top is very interesting, I really like it. It fits on top of the stainless steel pan and keeps food moist and tender and tastes wonderful. It is easy to use and it looks really interesting. The pan is large enough to cook meals for a family. I have not cooked any Moroccan meals, only veggies and one pot meals. The pan really does cook well and clean up is easy. The versatility to cook on any surface and the conversational value is well worth the price for this cookware set.
