The body is made from thick-gauge aluminum, which heats up quickly and spreads that heat evenly across the pan to help prevent hot spots. A ceramic nonstick coating on the interior means less oil is needed for cooking, and cleanup is straightforward — just avoid metal utensils or anything sharp that could scratch the surface.
The tempered glass lid has a built-in steam vent, so you can keep an eye on food as it cooks and manage boil-overs without removing the lid. The riveted stainless steel handle has a Bakelite grip that stays cool to the touch, and its perforated design makes it easy to hang for storage. The saucepan works on gas, electric, glass, and ceramic stovetops (it's not induction compatible), is oven safe up to 350°F, and is dishwasher safe.
